PBBM encourages Farmers and fishermen to enroll in Department of Agriculture's insurance program

Marcos on stage during his speech in Isabela

President Marcos Jr. encouraged fishermen and farmers to enroll their farms in the Department of Agriculture's (DA) extensive insurance program during his speech on Friday at the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) in Isabela. The program was issued under the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation and covers all types of crop production, livestock, and fisheries.

"Ito pong insurance na ito sa mga pananim o kagamitan sa pangingisda ay napakahalaga, lalung-lalo na sa mga rehiyon na madalas tamaan ng bagyo o kalamidad,” President Marcos Jr. emphasizes the provision that farmers can get from the program on the report of PCO.

The PCIC insurance programs are greater behind the crops, livestock, and equipment because they also offer Credit and Life Term Insurance. This offer gives protection to agricultural producers, fishermen, and other agricultural stakeholders, including their family members and relatives, within the fourth degree of consanguinity or affinity, according to PCIC Brochure.

How to Convert TikTok Paylater to Cash Guide and Review

TikTok users who already have activated the TikTok PayLater offered by the TikTok shop to their loyal customers are wishing to convert the offer into cash, as they are more prepared to spend the money on other daily needs or bill payments. However, TikTok just came on to the purpose of the financier as “buy now pay later” for the products that users prepared to check out. All e-commerce offered Buy Now Pay Later options are naturally not convertible to cash, though users are still looking anyways to make the credit limit more useful and viable. Like GGives , Spaylater , and Lazada PayLater, all of the offer limits are spendable to purchase goods and services within the e-commerce shops and partners. Though Spaylater has an option to convert your limits without risks and additional service fees, we have no guarantee when the last time it will work to become convertible as before. GGives is easily convertible into cash using Shopee Shop through canceling the checkout. But when Sho...

Philippines Reclaims Global Rank as World’s No. 2 Banana Exporter

AI Generated Image | The Philippines Regained spot as 2nd top exporter of Banana The Philippines has officially re-established itself as the world’s second-largest banana exporter following a dominant performance in 2025. According to preliminary data from the Food and Agriculture Organization, the country’s export volume surged by 26 percent year on year to reach 2.925 million metric tons. This significant rebound allowed the Philippines to overtake Colombia and distance itself from competitors like Costa Rica and Guatemala, reclaiming a global ranking it had not held since 2020. The recovery marks a definitive end to a four-year slump between 2021 and 2024 when the industry was hampered by severe weather patterns and persistent pest infestations. These challenges previously disrupted both farm output and int...

Buy Now, Pay Later: Helpful Tool or Hidden Trap?

Walk into any online checkout today and you’ll see it: that tempting little button offering to “Buy Now, Pay Later.” BNPL has become the darling of modern shopping, promising instant gratification without the sting of a full upfront payment. Younger shoppers, especially Gen Z and Millennials, are flocking to it because it feels more approachable than credit cards. No intimidating applications, no long waits for approval—just a quick click and you’re walking away with your purchase. Retailers love it too, since it often boosts sales by making expensive items look more affordable. Why BNPL Feels So Helpful Think of BNPL as training wheels for your budget. Instead of dropping ₱ 12,000 on a laptop in one go, you can split it into four ₱6 50 payments. That’s easier to digest, especially if you’re juggling rent, bills, and groceries. Interest-free installments : As long as you pay on ...
