Converting Spaylater to Cash through Maya Business is not working

Shopee's SPayLater is a "spend now, pay later" option available across Southeast Asia. It provides convenience and affordability for Shopee users, allowing them to buy things as easily as one click, even if they have limited cash. As users are keen to utilize this credit for various purposes, they are looking for ways to convert their SPayLater Credit into cash.

Previously, we published an article about converting SPayLater to cash through Maya Business. However, as of the last quarter of 2025, this conversion method via QR Ph in Maya Business is no longer accepted.

Some SPayLater users who attempted to convert credit to Maya Business have experienced this issue since early September. They reported that the conversion was functional in August via Maya Business.

One Reddit user on a forum stated that the conversion to Maya Business was still working in October, but it is definitely not working this November, saying, "I was still able to use it last month, but it's really not possible now." (The user's original quote: "nagamit ko pa din last month, pero nd na talaga pwede ngaun").

On November 11, 2025, we attempted to cash out SPayLater using Maya Business to verify that it is indeed not working. We verified it again on November 12, 2025, and confirmed that SPayLater credit cannot be transferred to Maya Business using QR Ph.

More users are still looking for ways to convert this credit; however, we do not have any reliable alternative to recommend at this time. While there is another way to convert SPayLater—through a Shopee seller willing to offer SPayLater conversion using their Shopee shop—we have not yet experienced this method ourselves. You can search for these sellers on Shopee. This option is highly risky, as scammers are scattered online, and you may be scammed if you are not vigilant.
