PayPal is a financial technology (FinTech) operating as an online payment system in the majority of the country, accepting payments online. PayPal is a payment method used by the majority of Filipino freelancers accepting payment from their clients in other countries. It is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as an operator of payment services in the Philippines under the National Payment Systems Act. G-Xchange, Inc. (GXI) and PayPal partnered to have smooth and fast withdrawal of funds from PayPal to GCash, which helps all freelancers with ease without hassle in withdrawal; there is no need to link a card to get cash from PayPal. However, what if you have no other way or method of payment for your purchases online or other transactions but only PayPal? How will you get funds (cash in) your PayPal account here in the Philippines?

As of today, we have no other way to cash in your PayPal account by over-the-counter methods or bank transfer because this is an international e-wallet. Though receiving payments coming from other business or personal PayPal accounts will help us to resolve this problem.

How to Cash in Your PayPal Account? (Step-by-Step Guide)

1. (If your friend has a balance in their PayPal account) 

Talk to your friend with a verified PayPal account, either personal or business. You will ask him/her that you want to cash in to your PayPal account.

If he/she has a balance in PayPal, just give your PayPal email address to request a fund transfer. Pay him/her back by cash or local bank transfer.

2. (If your friend has no PayPal balance in her/his account) 

a. Ask him/her to create a payment link.

b. Your friend will send you a payment link.

c. Click the link and input the amount.

d. Choose the debit or credit card payment option.

e. Input your card number, CVV, and ED.

d. Click "pay."

f. Your payment will be received by your friend in his/her PayPal account.

g. Give your PayPal email address and ask your friend to send it to your account.

This method must be done with your friend, not by the strangers online. Take note that online fraudster are always catching those ignorant with cash involved transaction.

If you know the Xoom, the PayPal remittance system available in the SM or other remittances in the Philippines this would be possible way to cash in PayPal by over-the-counter, I never try this before but if you do please share it with us by leaving the comment below.

  Pag-IBIG members can now avail of a short-term loan after their first 12 months of savings in their Pag-IBIG savings account. According to a report from the CBD , Marilene Acosta, the chief executive officer of the Pag-IBIG Fund, announced this during the 2024 Stakeholders’ Accomplishment Report (StAR) for Visayas on March 21, 2025.
